Connecting your Instagram account to Polipics
1. What you need before starting
•Instagram Business or Creator account (not Personal — Meta discontinued third-party publishing for Instagram Personal profiles).
•That Instagram account linked to a Facebook Page.
•Admin or Editor access to that Facebook Page.
2. If your Instagram account is still Personal
•Open Instagram app → Menu (☰) → Settings and privacy → Account type and tools → Switch to professional account → Choose Business or Creator.
•Link it to a Facebook Page: in Instagram, go to Edit profile → Page, and connect or create a Facebook Page.
3. How to connect in Polipics
•Click Connect next to Instagram in Polipics.
•Log in via Facebook (this is expected — Instagram business connections route through Meta Facebook Login for Business).
•Select the Facebook Page linked to your Instagram account when prompted and approve all permissions.
Common Issues & Solutions
❓ "My Instagram is not showing up"
It is not yet linked to a Facebook Page, or it is still a Personal account. Fix both from the Instagram app first, then reconnect.
❓ "Connected, but publishing fails on some post types"
Certain content types require the account to be in good standing and fully verified as Business/Creator in Instagram app status.
❓ "Someone else logs into this Instagram account too"
Meta flags accounts accessed from many devices/IPs. Recommend using one dedicated login for authorizing third-party apps.
